The Railcar Tarmac is a new addition to the Railcar lineup, designed with a relaxed wider fit and a clean belt-length silhouette that gives it a naturally boxy look without feeling oversized. Inspired by classic workwear proportions and updated for modern everyday wear, the Tarmac was built to be an easy jacket you can throw on daily year round.

While the design appears simple at first glance, the details are carefully refined throughout the fit and construction. The shorter body length pairs naturally with higher rise denim and layered outfits, while the relaxed shape allows for comfort and movement without excess bulk. Patch pocket hand warmer pockets keep the exterior clean and functional, and durable flat-felled seam construction adds long-term strength and a clean finished interior.

The Railcar Tarmac was designed with a relaxed, boxy fit that sits right at the belt line for a clean modern silhouette. To achieve this shape, the jacket features slightly dropped shoulders and sleeves designed to hit naturally at the wrist without stacking. The overall fit was intentionally developed to feel easy, relaxed, and comfortable while maintaining a structured look.

Sizing And Shrinkage Info:
After performing an in-house shrink test on this fabric, the results has minimal shrinkage id .5 inches in the chest. This particular fabric will shrink 1 inch in length. Keep that in mind when sizing. We still recommend sizing to your normally bought size as this jacket has more of a relaxed fit. Don't size down and don't size up.

Expected Fabric Aging And Wears:
The raw denim will feel crisp and structured when brand new, giving the Tarmac its signature relaxed boxy silhouette. As the jacket breaks in through regular wear, the fabric will begin to soften, drape more naturally, and mold to the shape and movement of your body. This dead stock Cone Mills selvedge denim is the ideal mid-weight classic indigo blue line selvedge denim for year-round wear. Designed to break in naturally over time, it will fade down to a timeless blue with the high-contrast wear patterns and character raw denim enthusiasts look for.
